About The Department
The Department of English has rendered invaluable service to the institution since its inception in 1949. It is a full-fledged department with Major courses introduced in the year 1972. Since 2019, the department has been offering both Core and Non-Core courses for the Bachelor of Arts (English Honours) programme under the CBCS curriculum of Dibrugarh University. Courses under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) of Dibrugarh University as per the New Education Policy recommendations are being introduced from the 2023-24 session.
