Message from Dean-Faculty of Science

Welcome to the School of Science, Debraj Roy College (Autonomous). Currently the School Of Science comprises of seven departments – Botany, Bio-Technology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics & Zoology. We provide top grade education delivered by experienced and well qualified faculty who bring an intellectual rigor and practical focus to their classroom as well as to laboratories.

The curriculum offers a Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), where students have choice to decide their subject, so that they can excel in the area of their interest. We also provide our students an opportunity to participate in seminar presentation, Career Counseling Workshops, Research Laboratory visits, Industrial visits to explore various opportunities coming on their way.

The research area of Faculty of Science holds from the study of nanoscopic particles like atom and molecule to the  macroscopic scale.

Our students have the achievement of holding prestigious Academic, Research, Management posts at various Academic Institution, Research laboratory, Industrial sector, Civil administration etc. One of our students  Dr. Binay Saikia is the recipient of prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award in 2022.
